Periodic Inspection of CNG Stations Nationwide
The periodic inspection project for CNG stations began after obtaining a competency certificate from the National Standards Organization on August 18, 2014, with inspections at eight pilot stations in North Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, Qom, Markazi, and Gilan provinces. The purpose of this program was to assess stations for non-conformance with Iranian national standards 7829-1, 7829-2, and 12054, prevent future risks to life and property arising from major and critical deficiencies at stations, and increase owners’ and operators’ awareness in this regard.
Following the successful implementation of this program in late 2014 / early 2015, the National Standards Organization assigned this company periodic inspection and standardization oversight of approximately 200 CNG stations in Markazi, Kermanshah, Qom, Alborz, and Tehran provinces. Subsequently, the company’s managers held standardization inspection conferences in those provinces to inform station owners of the need for standardization and encourage greater cooperation.
Periodic Inspection of CNG Vehicles
After developing and implementing procedures and checklists, NSM invited the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran to audit the company. Ultimately, in November 2012, competency approval certificate No. NACI/IBS/346 was issued for periodic vehicle inspection.
Noavaran Sanat Motor participated in the periodic inspection of CNG taxis carried out as a pilot by the Ministry of Interior; approximately 1,200 CNG taxis were periodically inspected under this program in Kerman, Tehran, and Qom.
The company currently operates—or is in negotiations to establish—workshops for inspection of CNG vehicles and their tanks in Hamadan, Yazd, Rasht, Qom, and Tehran.
It is worth noting that the core team of Noavaran Sanat Motor, who previously worked at the Unified Bus Company, designed and performed periodic bus testing based on the national and international standards available at that time. These tests included the following inspections:

<li>Bus emissions inspection on chassis dynamometer</li>
</ul>
Factory Manufacturing Inspection of Equipment
Given that some station equipment is manufactured by domestic contractors such as Pars Compressor, Tamkar Gaz, Havayar, Tabriz Compressor Manufacturing, Farnogas, and others, the supply and manufacturing stages—including procurement of parts and tools from approved vendors, materials, and manufacturing processes—are subject to inspection by Noavaran Sanat Motor. The company also oversees and inspects loading and transport of equipment to stations.
Inspection of Full Civil Works at Stations
Because the quality of buildings constructed for equipment installation at a fueling station is of great importance, the relevant contractor’s civil construction stages are inspected. Finally, the building readiness checklist for equipment installation is completed by Noavaran Sanat Motor’s supervisors and inspectors.
Equipment Installation and Commissioning Inspection
In this area, the company’s inspectors verify installation of station equipment during and after installation according to predefined items. They also perform station commissioning inspections per checklists agreed with the client, including ensuring safety requirements during commissioning, reporting faults, defects, and deficiencies to suppliers and the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, following up on resolution of installation and commissioning deficiencies, and planning handover of stations to the operator. At this stage, installation and commissioning inspection checklists are completed by the company’s supervisors.
