Considering the different applications of electrical panels—for example, use in swimming pools (humid environments) and building corridors (public spaces) for residential purposes, as well as workshops and server rooms for industrial use—if the enclosure is of poor quality or non-standard, it can cause problems in both performance and safety. A high-quality electrical panel frame has several important features, which we briefly introduce below.

An electrical panel enclosure must be designed according to standard dimensions, color, materials, and several other factors. Of course, these standards vary depending on the environment and application. The enclosures designed and manufactured by NSM are built in line with modern global standards, including the German Rittal standard, and deliver excellent performance across a wide range of applications.

The material type of the panel, or in other words, the metal sheet used to fabricate its enclosure, must be selected as galvanized or cold-rolled steel depending on the intended application. Its thickness should be at least 1.5 mm so that it can withstand mechanical, electrical, and thermal stresses under normal conditions.

According to Tavanir Standard No. 63-113, the minimum paint thickness must be between 61 and 81 microns. The panel finish should be electrostatic powder coating. First, the enclosure must be degreased, derusted, and phosphated, and then it should be uniformly coated with electrostatic powder paint. Since standardizing the external color similar equipment in the electrical industry helps improve coordination and easier identification, the panel color code can be selected as RAL 7032 or 7035 (corrected from 7132/7135 based on Tavanir standard) according to Tavanir Standards No. 113-63 and 112-63. However, depending on the interior design of the project, other colors such as cream, pearl white, blue, and so on can also be used.
