The operating principle of flame arresters is based on absorbing and dissipating the heat of a flame. As the flame passes through the fine openings of a thermally conductive metal mesh, its thermal energy is reduced until the flame is ultimately extinguished.
Flame arresters are passive devices with no moving parts. By using corrugated metallic mesh structures—known as **Elements** or **Matrices**—they prevent flame propagation into protected sections of the system.
The flame arresters manufactured by **Noavaran Sanat Motor** are constructed from multiple precisely arranged layers of corrugated metal strips. They are installed at the inlet and outlet of the KAHAB Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) to ensure the safety of the vapor-recovery process.
